Knightsglass p22’ open-out 60mm Casement Windows are available in a variety of single or multi-light styles, either in white, rosewood, rosewood on white, light oak and light oak on white.

Comprising top hung vents, side hung casements and fixed lights, all windows are fabricated to BS7412 requirements and round head, circular or lancet windows may be supplied depending on size, style and application.

All vents and casements are hinged using stainless steel friction hinges, with locking or non-locking handles available in a variety of finishes.

The windows are fitted with shoot bolts as standard for added security and both options come with a night vent facility. In addition to the night vent, controllable or permanent ventilators are offered as an optional extra, fitted within the head profile of the window sash or add on. When fitted with high security hardware, all windows meet BS7950 standards.

The profile itself is made up from acrylic modified high quality impact resistant white PVC-u extrusion. It produces a rigid multi-chambered profile that meets BS EN 12608 standards and is manufactured to BS EN ISO 9001.

For added security the profiles are reinforced with galvanised mild steel or aluminum sections to BS7412 sealed within the profile central cavity.

Double-glazing to BS6262 can be supplied, using 28mm insulated sealed units - double glazed units are manufactured to BS EN 1279 (formerly BS5713). Glazing options including patterned glass, Georgian bars and leading may be supplied. Post co-extruded glazing beads are provided either internally, or as a 'snap in hook' secure external system.

Double Bubblex weather seals ensure the performance meets the requirements of BS6375 Part 1, as shown below. Actual performance will depend on size and style.

Knightsglass p22 – Tilt before Turn windows

Knightsglass p22’ range of internally glazed tilt and turn windows not only provides excellent weather-tightness, but also ensures the highest level of security and safety, and is perfect for the trade market.

The tilt before turn safety locking system feature ensures that the tilt/ventilation option happens first, making it perfect for ground floor installations and a vital consideration in high-rise applications, providing improved child safety. The turn function allows internal and external cleaning to be undertaken at height and without risk as the window opens inwards.

The mechanism comprises bichromate finished steel multi-point espagnolette locking that operates around the sash. The number of locking points is dependant upon the window size. An anti-switch barrier is fitted to prevent selection from tilt and turn, while in the tilt mode and vice versa. The window must be closed before the alternative mode may be selected for added security at ground floor level. In addition to the tilt mode, a controllable or permanent ventilator is offered as an optional extra, fitted within the head of the profile of the window.

The option of curved or angled head and top rails, to suit design requirements, are and additional feature. All windows are available in white, rosewood, rosewood on white, light oak, and light oak on white.
